Leeds artisan printers Cotton Letterpress came to us to craft their brand, visual language and e-commerce website to launch their new business.

Contemporary creative British print

The brand needed to be all about the craft and the heritage teamed with the process and the people behind the product. We set about creating a mark and style that felt industrially sculpted but with a softer more current edge. We shot all photography and also produced an insight video to the whole letterpress process to show what goes into the Cotton products.

The product really is out of this world and the time and human effort that goes into ensuring this level of output is an impressive thing to see in comparison to so much automation in this field nowadays – we knew this needed to be the crux of the brand’s sell and appeal.

We worked hard to ensure that this was fully represented online and whilst the product and service is commercially focussed the craft shines through as the hero. We built the site from the ground up and built in some smart features such as real time viewing of all colour / stock / foiled components to the full suite of Cotton’s off the shelf design portfolio.
